Screencasting Scholastic Teachables
Screencasting Scholastic Teachables
I get a lot of practice showing how to access Scholastic Teachables to patrons at the library, so this was a fun little assignment to do!
Our library offers this resource to our patrons both in-person and online. Patrons can go home and find the materials they want to use for teaching or keeping up at home.
To screencast, I chose our good old Panopto as I feel it is always a challenge to learn how to do something different on it, even though I have been using it for almost 2 years now!
I found it to be rather easy and I like the way this one turned out. I wanted to be sure to start at the home page of the library as that is where patrons will have to head to to begin.

Hi, Josie! Once again, love the meme. I also used Panopto--but I struggled so flippin' much trying to put background music in, I literally couldn't do it. I see that you struggled as well. I wonder if Panopto is just not made for that? Anyways, you made a great video that is informative and clear. You spoke slowly, and I was able to follow along very easily. Scholastic Teachables is such an amazing resource, I'm glad you highlighted it. Great job!!
