Library Card Sign-Up Month is right around the corner! I know the library I work at does fabulous work getting new faces into the library and has a great time getting new library card holders. There of course is some swag involved, and lots of competitions held!
At work, we all use Canva. It is like the life-line of our library. Our fabulous content manager has kept us all on track when it comes to branding. We are big on flat images, and a good amount of white space. Most times, our colors are more subdued, but for this design, I wanted there to be more of a pop. I also chose to add a logo at the top to keep similar branding to our style guide.
My vision for this Library Card Sign-Up Month flyer, would be to put it out in the community, rather than just the library. There is National Night Out coming up at the beginning of August and school starts just a little aftewards. Having a flyer read to go about the month would be a great way to get the whole community into the library and utilize all the resoucres we have to offer!
I had a fun time making this one and hope you all enjoy it as well!

Hi. Awesome job on your flyer! I chose the same event for this assignment too. I think it is an important opportunity to reach out to the community and let them know all that is available to them by having a library card. I am still learning what’s out there and I have been going to libraries since I was a kid. I liked your idea of posting the flyers outside of the library. Better outreach for new patrons. I found your flyer warm and inviting. I also liked that on the flyer it said that there would be refreshments, swag and contests. That’s a great way to lure people in. Who can say no to any of those things? :)
